JACASZEK/PODPORA/KOHYT – a collaboration between Michał JACASZEK jacaszek.com and the PDPORA/KOHYT duo podporakohyt.com/combining their distinct musical characters. What triggered this collaborative effort was Michał Jacaszek’s idea to reuse some of his archival field recordings from monumental Gdańsk churches, and invite us - artists with a very different approach to playing - to compose and improvise with. Thus, JACASZEK’s subtle, flowing electronics encounter complex structures of unobvious, both acoustic and electronic, sounds produced by PODPORA/KOHYT.
